The Well, a church where all people can be Found by the grace of God, Filled by the power of the Holy Spirit, and Freed to love like Christ. Not only does our mission statement empower its members, it allows anyone to walk in and feel like family. For the past few weeks we’ve been focusing on all people, how we can make an impact from our church, from the Lord, because Jesus has so much more in store for everyone. He finds us and He fills, changes, transforms us by the Holy Spirit.
Sunday, Pastor Selena spoke with passion on discipleship- once you have been found, you must be equipped. The Holy Spirit allows us to live a new life, let yourself be filled in His spirit and love. In Acts 2: 1-4, 8, 36-47 the living word describes a purpose, a sending, and an equipping of the Holy Spirit.
Our love can be tainted, yet God’s love can be freeing. John 4:10-15, “...If only you knew the gift God has for you and who you are speaking to, you would ask me, and I would give you living water…” We are not meant to be filled up with gross, dirty, stagnant water! (as Selena put it Sunday morning) We are meant to be seen, FILLED, by God with a bubbling spring of His Word and life.
“What’s the point of filling something if you’re not going to pour it out?”
We shouldn’t be focusing so much on what this world tells us we can and cannot do, we should be focusing on what the Holy Spirit can do through us. He brings an influence, a change, a stirring, a devotion, a miracle, a healing, a concern, and a fellowship- walk in it.
Acts 2: 42-46
You can’t help everyone, but you can help somebody. Once you are found- you are filled by the grace of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. It is not a one-time event, it’s a continuous process.
